This has got to be one of our favourite styles of prawns on the planet! Simple and so flavourful, you’re going to want a double serving of crusty French bread to soak up all that delicious, saucy goodness. New Orleans-style prawns are a hearty, savoury, and spicy combination of garlic, wine, lemon, and seasonings.
We’ve put our own TRUFF twist on this recipe by using TRUFF White Hot Sauce – an umami-packed sauce featuring white truffles, ripe red chillies, agave nectar, and coriander. Absolutely delicious and perfect for fancy al fresco gatherings or casual weekday dinners.
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add the prawns, stir to combine, and cook for 1 minute more.
Add the white wine, lemon juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, thyme, oregano, bay leaf, and salt to the pan. Stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and continue cooking for 10-12 minutes or until the prawns are cooked through.
- Transfer the prawns and sauce to a large serving platter, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with crusty French bread on the side for dipping and soaking up the sauce.
